All building work is carried out in accordance with the Housing Industry Association (HIA) South Australian Contract and relevant laws, standards, and building codes.

2. Quotes and Cost Plus Contracts

At G Jeffrey Construction, we understand that every client and every project is different. We offer flexibility in how your build is managed, whether through a fixed-price HIA contract or a Cost Plus contract. Many of our clients choose the Cost Plus option because it provides full transparency of expenses, materials, and trade costs — allowing you to see exactly where every dollar is spent and to make informed decisions throughout the process.Preparing a detailed, accurate quote, whichever contract you prefer can involve up to 100 hours of meetings, design discussions, consultations with trades and suppliers, and coordination with planners. To recognise the time invested in this stage, an exit clause will be discussed prior to quoting. This ensures that if you decide not to proceed with G Jeffrey Construction after receiving a completed quote, a modest fee (typically $1,500) may apply to partially offset the time and resources dedicated to your proposal.

3. Payments

Payment terms, progress schedules, and invoicing are outlined in your individual HIA Contract. Any deposits, staged payments, or variations follow those contractual terms.

4. Warranties

All workmanship, materials, and building practices comply with statutory warranties under the Building Work Contractors Act 1995 (SA) and the HIA SA Contract. Any defects will be handled in accordance with those obligations.
